Description
Along the Mekong River are market stalls that sell an assortment of foods and goods. This Vietnamese woman carefully fans the steam for the proper temperature as tissue-thin egg roll wrappers are produced. The hours are long, the heat intense, and the pay next to nothing; however, to have seen women working so hard is courageous and motivating.
The editors at Travel + Leisure Magazine have recently notified me that "The Careful Cook" will be in its April, 2020 print issue. What began a year ago as a "photo of the day", this image was selected for publication.
